This Rental log cabin has all the modern conveniences while allowing you to enjoy the feeling that you "have gotten away from it all".
Upstairs:(sleeps 4) The upper level has the kitchen with most of the modern amenities (cooktop, stove, dishwasher, ‘fridge, blender, microwave), the valley side porch has the gas and charcoal grills with the local hand-carved chairs and the wide peaceful view of the Smoky Mtn. Range. Also on the entry floor is the master bedroom with TV, a relaxing Jacuzzi a few feet away, and a private tub/shower. The stacked washer dryer is also on this floor. For families with babies the portable crib is located in the closet in this room. The cabin has a 37' HDTV flat panel LCD with HBO channels. The gas fireplace is in the family room and the large couch opens up to a queen size sleeper. Kids love it because they can stay up and watch movies while snuggled in bed. Downstairs:(Sleeps 4) Game room, 2 sleeper foldout ottomans, the second bedroom, the second bathroom and the hot tub. The game room is equipped with a stereo CD player, a pool table, and a Foosball-Air Hockey table. Wireless internet.

Access to the cabin is via an easily managed asphalt road and driveway. Once there, mornings are slow and easy, and gentle evenings that wind down gracefully complete the day. As you are sitting on the front porch enjoying the morning and evening view, listen... The only sounds you'll hear are the bird songs and crickets. Surrounded by woods, you can enjoy fun walks through the trees while enjoying complete privacy at the cabin. The cabin is located just 10 minutes from Gatlinburg, Dollywood, and Pigeon Forge. Enjoy the best of both worlds…a perfect place to relax and getaway but close to all the action and adventure of the Great Smoky Mountains! And if you come during the winter season, be sure you don't miss OberGatlinburg, a complete, first class, exciting and fun winter park that offers something for everyone, skiing, skating, and more..

Fishing, Hiking, Rafting and Horseback riding: Several small rivers are within an easy drive with roadside parking just about everywhere, thirty minutes will take you to three major rivers: Little river, Tellico river and Hiwassee river for more serious action (whatever activity you desire, stocked lake fishing for the young kids, fly casting for the big kids, white water rafting, tubing, canoeing or toe dangling, we’ve got it!) You can hire local fishing guides as well. Camping, Hiking and Horseback riding in the Smoky mountains is a wonderful experience, all of them are minutes away. Hiking guided tours can be arranged and nearby stables have horses for rent that are suitable for all levels of experience. Arts & Crafts abound, one of the best known areas (the Glades Arts & Crafts tour) is five minutes from the cabin, Cars shows, Warbird museum, Ripleys Aquarium, Helicopter tours, Laser tag, Golf courses, Dinner theatres, Indoor skydiving, and much more.

We are a family of four. We live in Miami Florida, two adults and two youngsters under 10. Part of us are Mexican, and the other part is a mix of European/Scandinavian heritages. Together we have been having a great time. We're still not retired (a few years to go for that). He's a geologist working with the one of the Environmental Departments in Florida, I'm a homeschooling mom, and wannabe executive (lol). We speak English and Spanish.

Destination

This is a rental property, it is currently booked for part of this exchange date, but is available with two months notice anytime. Our travel dates are arriving at the exchange home on April 30th 2008 and departing the morning of May 9th
