Maison

The best way to describe our home is a work in progress constantly reaching for the unique (mosaics and stained glass). The house started in a Spanish style, one floor, but two more bedrooms, a breakfast room, a hot tub room, an office and a billiard room later, it has gone to Christine and Ron style, animal friendly and teenager approved.

If you are looking for a place to call home and not freak out if you drop some popcorn on the floor or spill a drink while watching a movie, our house is the place. If you are a nonsmoker, this is not the place for you. If your children can't bear to be away from the internet, we have it on four computers, one with Xbox Live!

Movie fanatic like me? Netflix delivers movies to your door free while you are here and watch your picks on our big screen tv, the kids, their kind of movies on the other.

Looking for a place to crash after spending a day at the beach or fishing? We understand sand and wet towels on the floor. Need a little peace and quiet for the adults? Shut the backroom door after putting the children to bed and enjoy some loud music, some billiards or a movie without disturbing them, sit in the hot tub for a bit.

We are about 10 minutes from the beach, close to shopping in every direction, minutes from Sarasota and seconds from great dining. Our neighborhood is very quiet and orderly, however, kid oriented. Places are not hard to find in every direction, and if looking for something off the beaten patch, Mapquest is just a click a way for door to door directions.

The kitchen has new appliances and room to cook, a washer and dryer for all those swimming suits and towels.

The three bedrooms are not large, and the bathrooms are rather small, and I will admit closet storage is minimal, but you will sleep comfortably, and the rest of the house has ample room for a fun vacation.

Lastly, I just want to say, if comfort and relaxation is what you are looking for, our house is the one!

Quartier

Our neighborhood is surprisingly quiet for the number of kids (most all now teenagers) and the familes that live around here. There are a lot of duplex (double family residences) so there is a lot of moving in and out, rarely much time to get to know your neighbors.

This is also a very hardworking area. People are up early to go off to their jobs and come home after a 10 to 12 hour day, so not a lot of time for socializing. We do live close to public transportation that will take you most anywhere.

The area of Florida where we live is very senior-citizen oriented, many retired people who are wonderful to talk with and learn about the area from.

À propos de nous

My husband and I have been married for 18 years and we have two teenagers, Matt and Emma.

I own my own medical transcription business and work from my home, and although that sounds wonderful, it is usually a 16 hour day! My husband works for a steel company and runs several of the shops there, also working a lot of hours.

With the spare time we do have, I create stained glass and mosaics, my husband plays guitar and poker, and my kids spend a lot of time on the Internet or hanging out with friends.

We have two cats, BB-kitty and Moto (short for more toes because he has six toes on each foot), and we have two dogs, Boos and Goldie. They are a true part of the family.

We play a lot of pool to relax and watch a lot of movies (I love foreign films and independent films). We spend a lot of time in the hot tub listening to music and having a glass of wine or a drink.

My husband has done every room addition to our house himself. He is excellent at carpentry. The more womanly touches are mine. We are very proud of where this house began and what it has become.

Destination

We would like this to be a simultaneous exchange on the dates provided. It is extremely hard for us to get vacation time, and planning more than a year ahead will assure us a vacation, LOL. We want to do a lot of traveling to see different things the entire vacation, so hope for something near transportation to get us to where we need to go.
