We live in a quiet, sunny apartment in a residential neighbourhood of Paris, only 15 minutes away from the city centre by metro. Our block is off the street and boasts a private garden with a playground and a tennis court - a rarity in Paris! Our home has one main bedroom, a kids bedroom, a large living/dining area with sofa bed and a brand-new open kitchen. Baby equipment (cot, high chair, change table, etc.) is available if needed. We also have a computer with high-speed internet access and free telephone calls to Australia.

Quartier

Our neighbourhood is residential and off the touristic track, yet only 15 minutes away from the heart of Paris by metro.

If you want a taste of real Parisian life, stroll down the street and pop into one of the local bakeries to get croissants for breakfast and a baguette for dinner, have a coffee or a kir in a tourist-free French brasserie and buy your fruit, veg and delicious cheeses at the morning markets.

Excellent access to public transport makes visiting the sights easy. In our neighbourhood, there are two different metro lines, lots of buses and even a couple of Vélib’ stations for those who like to cycle.

On foot, you can easily reach the beautiful Buttes Chaumont park, the famous Père Lachaise cemetery or the trendy neighbourhood of Gambetta, with its cinema, restaurants and a variety of gourmet food shops. And if you haven’t had enough exercise by walking and cycling, there’s also an Olympic swimming pool just down the street!

We're a French-Australian couple with two boys, a 4 year-old and a 6 month-old.

Destination

We're looking for a child-friendly house or apartment in Sydney for all or part of our holidays, so that we don't have to squish in at Grandma's place. Would prefer close to beach or inner city, rather than outer suburbs, but open to offers.
