Maison

Easy airport and freeway access. Quaint and cozy apt. upstairs. Fully stocked for cooking, high speed internet on new iMac computer, room airconditioner. Super clean and pleasantly decorated. Smallish bedroom w/ double bed, one room for living and dining area, small kitchen w/ microwave, coffee pot etc. Tub and shower in small (not tiny) bathroom. Not the prettiest building on the block but a nice little apartment. I've never seen a bug here.

Laundry room on premises.

DVD/CD player, new flat screen TV, and good collection of movies and music.

Trade for up to 3 weeks. One child could sleep in the living room. Nothing very fragile in the place. Pets are allowed for the short term, not to us residents however.

Trade for similar (I know it's not much) place anywhere in the world for up to 3 weeks. Slight charge for "upgrades" would be considered.

Quartier

Shopping, groceries, restaurants and bars, gay and straight, World Famous San Diego Zoo, all within walking distance.

On a "quieter" sidestreet, less than 2 blocks to "main drag."

3 different malls (5 movie houses) within 10 minute drive, Harbor and downtown less than ten minute drive. Beaches about 15 minutes. La Jolla 25 minutes.

Hollywood is about a 2 hour drive north, Palm Springs 2 hours NE, winter skiing can be found within an hour's drive from the beach. Tiajuana Mexico is about 40 minutes South, further into Mexico is Rosarito Beach, then Ensenada, where "Titanic" boat scenes were filmed. Check your Visa information for travel to MX.

Newport Beach, Laguna Beach (Orange County, or "OC"), South Coast Plaza, Oceanside, Rancho Santa Fe, are all closer than LA. But, LA has Hollywood, Santa Monica, Pasadena and lovely Downtown Burbank.

Clean, personable, respectful, artistic type, retired at a young age and living frugally with as much travel as possible.

Looking forward to a chance to see Budapest, Barcelona, Montevideo, Melbourne, Tokyo, and more of France and Italy.

I travel alone and tend to make a lot of friends along the way. Can use a little Italian, French and Spanish from my travels so far.

Destination

It could be non-simultaneous, I could stay with friends. If you can.

I am retired, hence, very flexible.
