Maison

Our home is in the countryside, right outside the city of Metz (North East of FRANCE). The house has been renovated and extended. We have a nice garden with a terrace (teckwood). We are close to evrything you need : pharmacy, bakery, supermarkets. There's a little train station in our village that takes you downtown METZ in less than 10 minutes.

Quartier

Metz is the perfect startting point for people who want to travel around. You can catch the TGV (high speed train) and reach PARIS within an hour and 20 minutes. Strasbourg and the Alsace region (famous for its vineyards)are only 1h and 30m. away driving. We are close to the german, belgian and luxembourg borders, so you can easily take day trips in Europe ! Metz itself is very attractive with its numerous shops and rexstaurants.It is famous for its cathedral and the museum which has an impressive collection from the Roman period. The river Moselle which goes right through the city offers nice and easy walks along its banks. Amneville, famous for its thermal baths is real close. It is set in a beautiful forest and not only can you relax in the hot baths of the thermal complex you can also ski anytime of the year (indoor ski slope!). There's also a very nice zoo which is much loved by children.

À propos de nous

We are a family of four : parents and 2 boys (8 and 11). We are teacher and executive. We are fond of travelling. Both of us have studied one year in the USA and we're eager to go back and show our children this great country and people. We enjoy art, cinema, literature, music. We both speak fluently english.

Destination

We would like to go to California this summer but we're open to any
destinations in the USA or Canada or Carribean.
