Maison

We have two dwellings available,both situated on our farm surrounding the shores of lake poerua on the scenic west coast of New Zealands south island.The first is "Hiddenvalley Lodge" a renovated church overlooking the lake with amazing native bird life in the lake and surrounding rainforest.Also great trout fishing,rainforest walks,kayaking,gold panning,The lodge has featured on television travel show and magazine articles.It has a special ambience with the outdoor candlelit spa pool by the stream,under the treefern canopy.Also the outdoor bath which is heated by a wood fire underneath.There is a indoor shower and bathroom,so the bath is not compulsory( only for the adventurous)Please view on www.hiddenvalleylodge.co.nz.
The second dwelling is our own second home built three years ago on poles amongst the tree fern canopy much like a treehouse.It is a mordern design and also has beautiful views over the Rainforest and lake.This house is suitable for one or two couples.
Our farm is the ideal base for exploring the west coast with the glaceirs only two hours drive away.Also the rugged coast road along the tasman ocean is 45 minutes drive,numerous forestwalks/lakes and rivers.

Quartier

This is a Rural area,10 minutes drive to Jacksons tavern for meals/drinks and grat coffee.20 minutes drive to Moana on the shores of lake Brunner for fuel and basic groceries.45minutes drive to Greymouth for full range of shops.2hrs drive to Christchurch,largest south island city and international airport.
The Tanzalpine train passes through the farm between Greymouth and Christchurch.This is recognised as one of the most scenic railway journeys in the world.

À propos de nous

We are in our late forties -Grant is a company property director and Fran is a physiotherapist.Both non smokers.We have an 18yr old daughter studying fashion in Milan this year 2008 and wish to visit her and spend time during the August holidays exploring other areas in Italy and neighbouring countries.We reside in Christchurch and have two dwellings on our farm on the rugged West Coast of the South Island.

Destination

ideally want a week in or close to Milan in July and will be open to any other areas in Italy north and south including Sardinia and Sicily,suggestions,can be non-simultaneous and we are interested in more than one exchange over this July and August period.
