Superb Manhattan Chelsea location, near Greenwich Village, waterfront, all Chelsea galleries bike trails, art galleries, transportation, famous neighbors upstairs!, Great restaurants, roof deck in summer, amazing view of Empire State Building etc. from bedroom. Warm, inviting, spacious home, plenty of wood, rugs, sunlight. Terrific pre-war building, very charming, high security, exceptionally quiet. Rear window overlooks private courtyard. Large master bedroom, small children's room with two full size beds that can sleep two adults. Double stroller, toys, games, books galore, music galore (including much jazz), NYC books -- I'm a guide and can help you plan your visit. Car negotiable. Every convenience and store (grocer, drug store, hardware, post office, salon) and several hundred restaurants are either in the building or steps away. We're experienced home exchangers, and will make you feel very much at home.

Quartier

Chelsea is world famous for its old-fashioned charm and its cutting-edge art. Our slice of Chelsea is a tree-lined, quieter residential street. Walk to everywhere, short walk to public transportation, fantastic view, lots of young families, ten (10!) playgrounds very close by, and huge sports/piers complex just down the street. If you're eager to come to New York, you already know all about Chelsea.

À propos de nous

A children's book author and occasional NYC tour guide, married to an elementary school reading teacher, with two sweet children, 7 and 4. Our entire family is experienced with home exchanges around the world, and very comfortable in other people's homes. First choice in Summer 2009 is London. Also, Montreal and Los Angeles, California are contenders.
