Maison

My home is in the Hudson River Valley near great hiking trails, beautiful landscapes and only an hour north of Manhattan. There are also trains near by that will take you directly into the city. I am 15 minutes from the United States Military Academy at West Point. Supermarkets, cinemas, a fitness center, and most conveniences are within a 2 mile radius of my home. Many people from all over the world shop at the nearby Woodbury Commons Outlet Shopping Center which is 20 minutes from my house.
The house is a one story brick ranch with 2 to 3 bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths and has central air conditioning. It has a large porch and also a deck that overlooks a private wooded backyard. In the winter you can see the Hudson River from the porch.

Quartier

The neighborhood is a country suburban area that is pretty quiet and private. There is a cinema and fitness center within walking distance, and three large supermarkets. From my house, it is an easy and lovely drive to Manhattan, taking less than an hour. The hiking is great in the Hudson Valley, with beautiful mountains all around. Less than a mile from my house is the Hudson River and a beautiful park where you can picnic, kayak, or just take in the river and mountain views. There is also a great waterfront 2 miles away with many fine restaurants and nightlife to enjoy.

My 18 year old son and I have lived here for many years. Before I became a teacher, I worked for many years as a musician and singer. For the past 13 years I have worked as a reading teacher in public school. I enjoy hiking, yoga, traveling to beautiful places,reading, and taking scenic drives.

Destination

I would love to spend some time in California north of San Francisco near the Coast, the Big Sur area, or Sonoma. I would also like to spend a week in Oregon near Cannon Beach or Oceanside. Other destinations include Switzerland, New Zealand, and Hawaii.
