Maison

Ours is a 3 bedroomed and study home beautifully decorated in neutral light colours and original art works. It has doors opening to the garden and terrace from every room and 2 bathrooms/one an ensuite. It has all the usual amenities and a well equipped kitchen.
Each bedroom has a queen bed and fitted wardrobes and most rooms have lovely views.

Quartier

Although we are only 15 minutes from Christchurch city we are virtually in the countryside surrounded by the farmland of the Canterbury Plains with views to the Southern Alps. The house is situated in a small community on a hillside and is within 10 minutes of shopping malls and 5 minutes of convenience stores.
There a lots of walking opportunitiers nearby and a good golf course(at very reasonable rates)which my husband belongs to.
There is an excellent bus service serving our area as well.
The neighbourhood is quiet but extremely friendly.

We are a semi retired couple in our 60's who love to travel . We have lived in the UK and Thailand and have done one house swap before. For the last 4 years we have spent 3 months travelling around Europe in our winter and will be doing so this year again.
We are passionate about seeing the world from a local perspective so prefer not to stay in hotels if possible.
I am a retired nurse and my husband has retired from his business selling building materials. Our other passion is family and we have 7 grandchildren and 5 children.
We generally travel alone or with one other couple but never with the children.
