Maison

We have a beautiful (stone) home northwest of Georgetown, near to bus lines but not the metro. Gourmet eat-in kitchen, flagstone patio, air conditioning. Upstairs: three bedrooms upstairs, two baths. Main level: living room (with baby grand piano), dining room, eat-in kitchen, family room, foyer. The house is on a hill-side, so entry is up set of beautiful stone steps (i.e., not good for those who have difficulty with stairs). Lots of natural light. We have two cats and would love it if they could stay (and you'll take care of them) or if we could bring them (i.e., pets are okay at your place). Our house is completely non-smoking.

Quartier

This is a beautiful, quiet neighborhood but our house is on a somewhat busy road (not a highway or anything, but gets a fair amount of traffic). We are across from the German Embassy with shopping and restaurants nearby (walking distance).

À propos de nous

We are a diplomatic family currently living in Washington DC. The girls are in a dual-immersion (French-English) curriculum, hence our interest in going to France for vacation.

Destination

We are looking to take our vacation between July 14 and July 28, 2007 and are pretty much locked into these dates because of work and summer camp commitments. We are open to any location in France but prefer that it is easy to get to (i.e., can fly to within a 40 minute drive). We care willing to discuss whether to include cars in the exchange and need to figure out what to do with our two beautiful cats during the exchange period.
