Maison

Our home is 8 years old and we think very comfortable. It has 4 bedrooms, one ensuite. There is a large kitchen with dining area. There are two sittingrooms, both with TV (We have satellite TV with more stations than I can count. Our favourite room is the sunroom and that is where we usually sit and can look out over the beautful countryside. (In fact the view is the reason we bought this particular house).

Outside the garden is mostly lawn with shrubs and trees.

We have two cats and if possible we would like these to stay. However alternative arrangements can be made.

Our neighbours are very friendly and you are sure to meet them.

If you enjoy the countryside, but would like easy access to a small town and beyond this could be the place for you.

Quartier

We live one mile from Virginia, a typical small Irish town. It is set on Lough Ramor. Golf, fishing, walking and water sports are available locally.

Virginia has everything you will need while staying here, shops, hotels and restaurants plus of course, pubs. There is also a small theatre.

Co. Cavan is a border county and ideally situated for exploring North and South We would be delighted to tell you about all the many places you can visit from here. We will also leave tourist guides etc. to help you.

While there is a bus service to Dublin, a car is essential to get around.

We, David and Anne hope that we have given enough information to tempt you. David is a semi retired engineer (promising to fully retire soon!) Anne is involved in the local craft network and has a picture framing business.

We just love to travel and also to have people visit. We are interested in any offer long or short. If we can easily fly to where you are we would even be interested in a weekend.

We will reply to all expressions of interest.

We have just come back from a wonderful swap in California and are already hoping to make plans for our next trip. For the rest of 2008 we would interested in a short break in Europe or USA. If you are thinking of a longer time for 2009 do contact us.

Destination

Our dates are flexible and we are open to offers from anywhere for holidays of two weeks or more. For places with direct access by air ( including Europe and Boston/New York/ Chicago/Washington DC, Florida/ California) we would welcome shorter exchange offers.
We have arranged an exchange for July 2008, but would be very interested in short break of 3 to 7 days at any time.
