Maison

The flat is located in the centre of the village (27.400 inhabitants). It has been my family´s home and I have been a year and a half restoring it. We live in a 85 m2 modern flat in a house of 1900. Everything is new but have preserved some old objets and hand made wood furniture.
The house has 4 flats, we live in the first one. That´s why we have a 40 m2 flat roof among other houses (unfortunately not in front of Iguazu) that gives us the opportunity to stay outside, having a sun bath in the morning. In spring we´ll going to prepare a small vegetable garden in the corner.
Have no pets.

Quartier

There are 4 levels and an only flat in each one, so 4 families.
Some years ago all the house was my mother´s family´s.
Now a cousin of my mother occupies the 2nd but they only come some weekend because they live in the capital, San Sebastian.
In the other flats live two families. They are really nice and would help in everything. So, it´s very quiet.
Located in the centre of Eibar, a small town which is the comercial one in the zone, that offers every service. Any kind of shops, restaurants, supermarkets, pubs, etc.
Eibar is situated in the middle between Bilbao (45 km) and San Sebastian (55 km), you can visit them very easily and enjoy Guggenheim for example. Also Vitoria-Gasteiz (56 km) where you could visit the very interesting Santa Maria Cathedral, "opened while rebuilding" (the only one in the world in writer´s words) in which Ken Follet has been inspired for his latest worldwide known book (World without end).
And beach is just at 18 km.
The flat is really nice. The village is not pretty. But is perfectly situated to discover the Basque Country, north of spain and South of France: Pamplona, mountain (Pirinees), Mundaka (the best left wave in the world), beaches, Zarautz, Biarritz...

Hi!!
I´m 33, well, soon 34 years old teacher. So, I´m in holidays in July and August. My family lives in another flat very near (5 minutes walking). My mother manages in french and english and would be very happy helping the visitors.
I speak a little english as you can read, spanish and basque (mother tongue). Enara, my girlfriend also speaks french.
Interest: I like mountain hiking, sports, reading, writing, music and so on.
I could also exchange car. We have a 5 years Peugeot 206 and a garage 5 minutes walking (very important here).

I have never participate in an exchange and I would like to try with my girlfriend, visiting a new place.
