Maison

Located half way between Brisbane City and the Gold Coast in sunny Queensland our spacious open-plan 4 bedroom home (one of which has been turned into an office with high speed internet) is set on 1.25 acres of garden, bushland and rainforest. It has a large undercover outdoor living area with bar-b-que for alfresco dining or entertaining, as well as an outdoor setting hidden in the rainforest where we love to have Sunday breakfast. There are 2 bathrooms, a formal dining room as well as a large family and eating area, modern kitchen, comfortable large lounge room with 118cm LCD HD TV, DVD and stereo as well as laundry with washer and dryer. We love wildlife and the wildlife enjoy our property including kangaroos, wallabies, possums and numerous native birds. The kangaroos have become quite cheeky and even come up to drink from our fish tanks while the possums love nothing more than a free hand out of fresh fruit.

Our home is in Greenbank on a quiet cul-de-sac surrounded by acreage properties centrally situated only 30mins from Brisbane city, 45 mins from the Gold Coast with its beautiful beaches and theme parks such as Seaworld, Movieworld, Dreamworld, wet and wild waterworld and the Great Australian Outback show, 1hr from the Sunshine Coast which also has beautiful beaches and theme parks such as Underwaterworld and the late Steve Irwins Australia Zoo. We have a village centre nearby with supermarket, pharmacy, take-away food shops as well as dental and medical services while there is a large shopping centre 5 mins down the road for retail shopping.

À propos de nous

We are a couple in our late 40's who love to travel. Garry works in construction and design and I am an emergency nurse. This is our main home but we also have a beach front resort apartment at Coolangatta on the Gold Coast which we have as holiday rental (see reference number 10861) which is also available to swap. You are welcome to drive our car from one property to the next, what a great way to enjoy two completely different aspects of Australian living!

Destination

Our main hope would be to combine a few home swaps to provide a month in Europe staying at three or four places for about a week each and maybe a stop over for a week in the UK and Africa, but we are flexible and open to any offers
