Maison

This is a modernized villa with enclosed courtyard and private heated pool. There are two bedrooms in a split plan separated by a large great room and entertaining kitchen. French doors open to the courtyard from every room in the house.

The kitchen is equipped with an electric range with double oven, microwave, refrigerator, dish washer, double sink, and disposal. An apartment size stacked washer and dryer are available in the laundry area. A separate drink refrigerator and sink are available in the enclosed courtyard. A propane grill is also available in the courtyard.

The master bedroom has a very comfortable pillow top king bed. The adjoining bath has double vanity, separate shower, private water closet, and jacuzzi tub.

The second bedroom is equipped with an inflatable double bed (electrical inflator is included). This is typically a study and is furnished as such.

All rooms have cable television. Wireless router connection to a 6Mbps DSL Internet circuit is also provided.

There are two very friendly Persian cats who will likely be sharing the home for which we will want the swap mates to feed, water, and otherwise look out for. While we would prefer to take them with us, we believe travel is too hard on them and a kennel is out of consideration.

A 2000 Mercedes Benz E320 is available. The vehicle is kept in the attached two car garage.

Quartier

This is a mostly retired, gated community consisting of 32 villas, in a very quiet neighborhood. During the summer months, many of the owners are traveling and not in residence.

Major food stores and restaurants are within a mile of the house. Major shopping is within a 5 mile radium in all directions. The beach is a short 6.5 miles away. Access to the bus routes is approximately one half mile away.

À propos de nous

Deborah and I are a non smoking, 50s - 60s empty nesters who like to travel as often as possible. We have traveled extensively for both business and pleasure. We love to explore and learn all we can about other countries, especially where they have a warm climate.

We both have technical industry experience; however, Deborah has retired and I have elected to teach high school computer science courses to defer my retirement.

We are cat lovers and would be more than happy to care for cats at the destination home.

When we travel with others, we travel with like minded individuals who share our enjoyment of learning about other cultures around the world.

We have many family members in the area who are available to assist in the event there might be a problem with the home while we are away. These include parents, siblings, and adult children so no problems that cannot be handled swiftly are likely to arise.

Destination

Duration is dependent on proximity and required travel. For instance, Australia & New Zealand would require a 14 day stay while islands in the Caribbean would be acceptable for a shorter stay.

Our dates our flexible during the summer, as is our destination. Once we lock in dates we would prefer to avoid changes if at all possible.
