Maison

Though only 15 minutes away from the city and beaches, our area is quiet and tranquil. We live at the end of a cul-de-sac with superb views. We have a large family home situated at the foot of the Castle Rock buttress. Our garden borders on a trail and boosts a tennis court and 12.5 by 4.m swimming pool. We have excellent security. We have two German Shepherds, three rather over-fed cats, some fish and a large tortoise, named Ferdinand. Our children are 11 and 14 and each have their own bedrooms with computers linked to the inter-net. Our main house consists of 4 bedrooms and then we have 3 flatlets that are joined to the house. Granny lives in the one, one is for guests and the other is occupied by a young professional gentleman. Each flatlet has a bedroom, lounge, bathroom, kitchenette and court yard.

Quartier

We have a quiet neighbourhood consisting mainly of a few very large homes. Our neighbours are friendly but stick to themselves. Our garden gate is 200m away from Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden's Top entrance. The garden is renowned for its Fynbos. There is a trail right next to our property and the entrance to Cecelia Forest is a 10minute walk from our gate.We are also close to Rhodes Drive which leads to Houtbay, a beautiful suburb nestled between two mountains which then spills out on a long, gorgeous beach.
Our neighbourhood is very green and leafy and overlooks the Constantia Valley.

À propos de nous

My husband is a civil engineer and commutes between Johannesburg and Cape Town, I am an ex-teacher and our two children are a girl aged 11 and a boy aged 15. We play a lot of tennis and enjoy mountain walks and family time.

Destination

We are a family of 5(Me, husband, granny and daughter 12, son 15) visiting London and surrounding area from 23 June to 7 July and would like to swap our home, which is on a large property with tennis court, for comfortable accommodation in London or in the country. Our home is situated opposite Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens in Cape Town.We do not mind if the swap is not at the same time, providing that it is during our school holidays, perhaps December when it is summer here.
