Maison

Me, my husband and my three sons (9, 5 and baby) all live in our recently updated spacious family home with a good sized garden. We have three big bedrooms upstairs and a large family bathroom with bath and separate shower cubicle. Downstairs we have a very large L-shaped communal area. We also have an office with a computer (internet), and a playroom (new double sofa-bed). There is another bathroom/shower and separate toilet, and utility room fully equipped for laundry. We have a driveway that holds 5 cars comfortably. The garden is 110ft long, with mature shrubs and trees. It is mainly lawn, but also has a play area with trampoline, sand pit, sunny patio, hammock. The end of the garden has a vegetable plot, with raspberries, strawberries etc in summer (note the photos were taken mid-winter).

Quartier

Sompting village is joined onto Lancing village, and is a quiet suburban area outside the larger town of Worthing. Lancing town centre is 15 mins walk away with all basic shops. The city of Brighton is a 20 min drive away, London Gatwick is 45 mins, central London 1 hr 30 mins on the train. The train station is a 20 min walk away. There is a convenient bus stop quite near. We are nestled between the Sussex Downs and the sea. You can see the Downland from our bedroom window and there are many lovely walks there. The sea is a 20 min walk away. Beach Green is our local beach. It is mainly pebbles when the tide is in, but when the tide is out if offers miles of sand. Our beach is quite quiet, whereas Brighton beach is very busy. UK weather can obviously never be predicted, but we are in the warmer, sunnier south! Sompting/Lancing is populated by many families, but also many older inhabitants have retired to this area. À propos de nous

We run our own plumbing and heating business and have work premises in Lancing. We don't have too much time for hobbies at the moment, but enjoy family days out locally, exploring historical spots.
