4,000 sq ft home nestled on a lush mountain side over looking the sea.
Outstanding panoramic view from every room. Six bedrooms, 6 bathrooms, formal living room, family room, gourmet kitchen with double ovens, center island and a beautiful breakfast nook with view of the treetops and ocean. Master bedroom has private veranda.
Great deck with Jaquzzi. Utility Vehicle to ride up and down hill from dock.

Quartier

Guanaja has has a network of mostly "paths". Just last year one road that can be driven on by cars was paved between two settelments on the NE/SE of the island. All transportation must be done with a motor boat. The nearby "settelment" Bonnaca Cay has all necessary provisions of food, gas, and banking. NO ATM machines.There are 2 waterfalls on the island. You can go hiking up lush mountainsides, snorkeling, Kyacking, Fishing ( Bone fishing, Spearfisihing or just dropping a line off of a dock)and Scuba Diving. Scuba lessons are available by several of the resorts.The Bay Islands have the 2nd largest barrier reef after Australia. There is a fun and friendly international group of residents on the island. Close to our house is Hansito's place on Fruit Harbor. Locals gather there for great German food and beverages. To get to Guanaja you would fly into the city of San Pedro Sula, then to La Cieba on the coast and finally a flight to the island. The beautiful island and home that awaits you is worth the inconvienence! Bon Voyage!

The Lighthouse, as we call our house, was home to us, a family of 5 and down to 1 Miniture Pincher out of 3 for 7 yrs. During that time we took a trip on our saiboat, the Kitty Hawk for 27 months, setting out from Guanaja, Honduras up the east coast of the United States to Maine and back. Our eldest was left in the US to begin college and has since then finished her studies in Australia. I and the remaining 2 children are in Israel, continuing to do what we love best, exploring other cultures, traveling the Land and when possible reaching out beyond it's boundries. We have many beautiful memories of our life in The Lighthouse. Visit and see why the island and the house are so captivating. Bon Voyage!
