Maison

Detached home in a village setting only three minutes walk from local shops. The village is situated adjacent to a country park set in the beautiful South Downs and has good access to a range of interesting and historical towns...Portsmouth, Chichester, Brighton, Petersfield. It is also only a short drive to the New Forest National Park and other areas of outstanding beauty. In addition Portsmouth has ferry terminals to both the local Isle of Wight and to France/ Spain.
Our home is centrally heated and of modern design with an attached conservatory and a double garage. There is a small private garden to the rear of the property that includes a patio area suitable for barbeques, a carp pond and a lawn with flower borders.
Inside the house we have a large fully equipped eating kitchen, a through lounge that leads to the conservatory, three double bedrooms (the third is under the eaves and slightly smaller). In addition there is a downstairs cloakroom and upstairs bathroom that includes a power shower.
The double garage contains several bicycles that are available for use both for on and off road cycling.

Quartier

A quiet, friendly village with good access both to countryside and local towns. Excellent local transport both by bus from the village and main line train from Petersfield (7 minutes by car) ...direct to London. Only a few minutes from the South Downs Way (a long distance off road footpath) and an extensive coniferous Country Park makes the area ideal for walking/ cycling.
The village has basic amenities including small supermarket/ delicatessen/ greengrocer/ newsagent/ pharmacy outlets. There is also a local medical centre.

À propos de nous

We are a couple in our middle to late fifties who have recently retired from full time work in educational management. An active couple our interests include athletics, cycling at both of which we compete at a reasonable level. In addition we have the usual enjoyment of cinema, theatre etc. all of which is very well provided by our area of residence. We both speak reasonable French.

Destination

We are unable to provide non-simultaneous exchanges. Our dates of departure/ return and length of stay are open to negociation around the figure stated.
