3000 square foot, family-friendly, "executive" home with remodeled kitchen in private, safe neighborhood. Freeway close, and conveniently located near downtown Santa Cruz (1 mile), the Beach Boardwalk (3 miles), the Mystery Spot (2 miles), Pasatiempo Golf Course (1/2 mile), Delaveaga Golf Course (2 miles), beaches (3 miles), and many other area attractions. Very large master bedroom with fireplace, standard-sized bedroom with queen bed, standard-sized bedroom with twin bunk beds, large kids' playroom, living room with fireplace, dining room, TV room, large kitchen, and laundry room. Back yard is one acre of redwood tree forest (there's a small side yard and kids' play structure, too). Rarely foggy, unlike many areas in Santa Cruz.
No pets, no smoking.

Quartier

Safe neighborhood that is very conveniently located (see house description). Mostly custom homes. Forest views. Ample parking.

In addition to Santa Cruz attractions, Monterey is about 45 minutes away, San Jose/Silicon Valley is 30 minutes away, and San Francisco is 1 hour and 15 minutes away.

We are a professional couple (both attorneys) in our late 30s with 2 boys, ages 8 and 6. We're from Hawaii and San Diego, and settled in Santa Cruz 4 years ago. With the beautiful coast and the redwoods, we always feel like we're on vacation here. We love exploring the outdoors, keeping active with the boys, and seeing new places.
We are experienced home exchangers who have swapped in London and in San Francisco.

We are currently interested in an exchange in San Diego during summer 2008, and weekend or longer exchanges in San Francisco.

Destination

Dates are flexible; open to offers. Our house may be available from August 9-15, 2008. We're especially interested in a non-simultaneous exchange in San Diego, Lake Tahoe, or San Francisco in Fall 2008 or Spring 2009.
