Description

Our house was built in 2006 in a modern style. It is very open with big glassdoors towards the garden with 220m² living space, new modern high quality furniture, full equipped designer kitchen, wood burning fireplace in the big dining/kitchen area enclosed to the living room, 3 bedrooms (4 beds) and 1 small guestroom (1 bed), each bedroom with Cable-TV, 1 bath with bath/shower/toilette, 1 bath with shower/toilette (enclosed to the master bedroom) and 1 extra guest toilette, high-speed Internet-connection with wireless LAN - although in the garden (if you take a LapTop with you), DVD recorder, stereo hifi ..., laundry room with wash machine, dryer and steam iron, central vacuum cleaner, central under floor heating.
Barbecue on the terrace, outdoor furniture, Carport.
4 bikes.
Our house is surrounded from a big and beautiful garden with a little creek on the end of the ground and there is a tree-house for playing.

Our house is available only for NON SMOKERS. NO PETS allowed.
Due to the little creek behind our house and because of that our house is not really baby safe please no little kids (not less than about 7 years).

We love our home and hope you too.

Neighborhood

We life in a small village. It is a rural, idyllic, quiet and safe area where you can enjoy the superb nature. It's wonderful to sit and relax in our big garden and listening the gurgle/brawl of the brook.
500 m to a supermarket and a bank, 700 m to a bus station In the other direction 200m away meadows and forest starts. It's ideal for walking/hiking and (mountain-)biking, start directly in front of our house (use our bikes). Nearby (3km) is a little lake for swimming. Within 5 mn driving there's a nice small town (Knittelfeld) and with the car, for example, you are
- in 25 minutes in LEOBEN,
- in 50 minutes in GRAZ (big shopping malls, museums, culture..., great historic city centre/world heritage site, palace Eggenberg, clocktower...),
- 2 hours away from VIENNA and SALZBURG, 4 hours from VENICE (Italy) and MUNICH (Germany)
- thermal bath (hot springs) Aqualux, is only 15 minutes away.
- Asia spa & bath 25 minutes
In winter skiing is very nearby (about 10km) and great skiing areas can be reached between 1/2 and 1 hour.
Don't forget our own ice-skating place in garden, if it's cold enough. The cross country-course (if it has snow) is only 150m away from our house.
And we have very good and excellent dining restaurants in our area. Also pizzerias and normal locations/inns.

About Us


We are a family of 4. Wolfgang, my husband, is an engineer and works as QMM and I'm (Birgit) a civil servant.
We have two wonderful kids. Kerstin is 12 1/2 and Alexander is 15 years old. Both are on the high school and it takes us simply a great pleasure to be their parents. Of course, they would careful handle your property!

We love sports, nature, silence, reading while relaxing, culture.... and we have a weakness for excellent meals/foods and we love it to dine out in very good restaurants.

We set great store by a comfortable, tidy, well furnitured and good equipped household and we expect the same from our swapping partners.

We love travelling and we are particularly interested to learn more about other cultures and their "way of life" and we would like to have the amenities of a real home when travelling :)

By the way, I'm allergic against cats and dogs hair, so if you have one, living inside the house.......

We can correspondence in German, English and a little bit in Italiano

Destination

We are looking for a house at the sea/beachfront or nearby - everywhere on the world - please surprise us!

Exchange is possible each year during our school-holiday times
Christmas: 25 12 - 06 01
half year: 3rd week in February (exchange only in Europe)
Eastern
summer: begin of July - begin of September
and for short stays in Europe also on long weekends.
In summer we prefer stays between 14 and 30 days.
