Description

I have a cosy, warm and very artistic little house. It has big windows, and from two of them you can see the sea. A nice pine tree gives shade outside where I spend many hours relaxing in my hammock...
There is a seperate bathroom with a small bathtub. The rest is one, open space with a kitchen and a high sofa bed. There is a big fireplace and a big table for cosy dinners. There is a tv, dvd player, adsl connection, washing machine. It is a house for people who enjoy the simple things in life, need to unwind and don't mind a few paint stains here and there :-) Usually the only thing you hear is the wind and the birds. From my high bed, without lifting up your head,very early the morning you can see the sun coming up from the sea, from a corner of one window ! On Rhodes its sunny nearly all year round, so I work outside or in my sheltered work-space.
There can be quite a lot of wind, especially in the summer.

Neighborhood

the house is on the edge of laxania village, still quite traditional.Not far from
Prassonisi, the surfer's paradise. There are some great and quiet beaches in this area, if you like to walk , it will only take you about twenty minutes to get there. The area quiet and beautiful, its a real farmers village. It's a nice place to relax and spend your day at one of the great beaches. There are two taverna's in the village who serve traditional Greek food. You can find all kinds of watersports, horses, and bars a ten minutes drive from Laxania village. I might be able to lend you my small car. and I have a bike as well.There is a bus passing from the village during the week, early the morning, going to Rhodes-town, and returning the afternoon.If you like to read, I have quiet some books, most of which are in Dutch. some in English and in Greek.
I have a dog that, If you do love dogs and would like to have some company I could leave him at home instead of leaving him at friends.I would gladly take care of yours...

About Us

my name is inez laurinda, 42 years old.
I make sculpture, lamps, mirrors and restore old furniture. I speak Dutch, English, German and Greek and live on Rhodes for more then 20 years.

Destination

I am looking for a small appartment in or close to Amsterdam, preferably with an artist-studio, or some space where I could work ( gips, paint, etc.)
I would like to swap in april for a week till ten days, because I like to be there at the Queen's birthday. I make jewellery and it might be a nice idea to sell everything in one day :-) After that I would like to spend one till two months in the summer in Amsterdam. ( august-september period) I am open to any offer, anywhere not too far from Amsterdam, as long as You have some space where I could work. I love animals, so if you have, no problem, I wouldn't mind taking care of them ( even horses)
