Description

1926 Craftsmen-style bungalow located in historic neighborhood (Monte Vista). The house has central heat and air-conditioning and a pleasant backyard for your enjoyment. The kitchen facilities are modern. We also have a small cabin in the countryside, 60 miles (96km) from our house. It is in the middle of 96 acres (40 ha) in the Texas Hill Country, near the town of Bandera (self-proclaimed "Cowboy Capital of the World") and would be available in the home exchange.

Neighborhood

The neighborhood is zoned historic and consists of broad, tree-lined streets and a diversity of housing styles (from the 1880s to 1930) and sizes (mansions to bungalows). There are many amenities within walking distance (restaurants, grocery store, wine bar, public library) and many more within bicycling distance (art museums, downtown, River Walk). Quiet and secure neighborhood and neighbors. Public transportation (bus) is within 100 feet (30m) of the house.

About Us

My wife and I have travelled extensively -- both for work and enjoyment -- in South and Southeast Asia, Mexico and Central America and England. We are both fluent in spanish. Our chief pleasure in travelling is to simply enjoy the ambiance, culture, cuisine and pace of everyday life in the places we visit.
