Cortijo Fuente Arriba is a renovated Andalucian Farmhouse in Almeria just 45 minutes inland from Mojacar and Garrucha. On the lower ground floor, for rent, are two self contained and private character apartments each with two private terraces.
The Farmhouse is set on a hilltop and surrounded by an acre of terraced lawns and Olive, Almond and Pomegranate trees. There is a constant sea breeze called the “levante” coming up the valley and on a clear day the Mediterranean can bee seen, There is a swimming pool to cool off on those very hot days or just pick a shady spot to read a book , sip a glass of wine or take in the views

Neighborhood

Lubrin is located about 1 hour cross country from Almeria Airport or 2 hours motorway/cross country from Alicante or Murcia Airports. The well known beach resorts of Mojacar and Garrucha which are just 45 minutes away by car and the drive along the scenic route, via Bedar, is awesome!!
The more Spanish resorts of San Juan Torres and Aquilas (to the North) and Carboneras, Agua Marga and San Jose ( to the South) are about an hour away. These Spanish resorts, in Summer, are very much less crowded, especially mid-week, than Mojacar and Garrucha.

Places of Interest include Cuevas de Almanzora for its cave houses and Tabernas for its magnificent Desert National Park. At Tabernas is a Westen Theme park on the site of the Clint Eastwood Movies! The Gabo de Gata National Park is about an hour away : a desert, ending abruptly at the sea, with most beautiful, volcanic formations, beaches with difficult access and white villages. The landward side of the Natural Park is inhabited with a diverse species of birds and the sea is rich in marine life.
The ancient Andalusian city of Almeria(1 hour away) lies sheltered at the base of a bay, proudly dominated by the amazing Alcazaba, a huge Moorish citadel with three walled enclosures dating from 995.

Lubrin is just 30mins from the Almeria- Seveilla Motorway so that Granada, Sierra Nevada and the Alpuharras are just over 2 hours away and the skiing and walking seasons adds another dimension to life in Lubrin. Andalucia also offers such cultural gems as Seville, Cordoba and Cadiz which are no more than 4 hours away by car.
