Description

My house is a new (2004) detached house with open-plan kitchen/living area and sunroom and a large study with computers and broadband access. Two double bedrooms, 1 single and 1 bathroom.

While I have said no to children, this is because my daughter tells me that the house is not very child-friendly - but it could be suitable for older children. My grandchildren (1 + 4 years of age) and the house survived a month-long visit without much damage.

Neighborhood

Glendale is a housing estate in Leixlip, Co. Kildare, just over the border from Co. Dublin with good access to Dublin City (12 miles by car or train - with the station under 5 minutes walk away) and routes to the west of Ireland. While the area is suburban, there are a number of good walking areas nearby, along the River Liffey and the Royal Canal.

About Us

My name is Barbara and I am a translator, working from home, and a swimming teacher. My children are now grown. My daughter and grandchildren live in Melbourne. I plan to visit her for a few weeks on my next trip but would also like to arrange an exchange so that I can work while remaining close to my family. For this I will need access to a computer, a printer and broadband.

Destination

My ideal destination is Melbourne, the Mornington Peninsula or the Great Ocean Road.

As I will be taking a long trip in 2008, my own house will be available from the end of February until early May.
