Description

Lovely bottom Victorian flat. High ten foot ceilings. One bedroom with queen size bed; living room has a fold out queen size couch. Separate dining room and large kitchen with eat-in table and dishwasher. Newly remodeled bath and small study/bedroom that also has a fold out couch that converts to a double bed. Satellite TV and wireless internet are available. Washer and dryer in the basement are shared by the landlord who lives above. The biggest drawback is the lack of closet and storage space. (Bonnie, our cat, also comes with the place. She needs minimal care, loves an affectionate lap, and can be left at home if you take short trips. See pictures.)

Neighborhood

We LOVE living in San Francisco- a wonderful city with beautiful sites, very walkable, fabulous restaurants., and very friendly people. We are in Noe Valley, close to downtown, and a very desirable part of the city. The flat is three blocks from 24th Street- the main commercial street in the neighborhood known for its dress boutiques, shoe stores, bookstores, cheese and chocolate shops, several bars and excellent restaurants. We are a half a block from a MUNI stop- public transportation that can take you most anywhere within the city. The bay area has much to offer outside of San Francisco- the wine country, Yosemite, Grand Canyon, Las Vegas, and Lake Tahoe are among the many day or weekend trips one might consider.

About Us

We have lived in this flat since 1990. We are a retired couple. My husband retired eight years ago from the publishing business, and I have just retired after thirty years in teaching. Now we are both free to travel at off-times during the year, and are looking forward to visiting places we have only talked about for years. We enjoy music and dancing; reading and exploring. We have a lovely affectionate old cat, Bonnie, (see pictures) who will be here to greet you. She needs little attention, although will always find a willing lap. She can be left alone if you want to take short trips, or a neighbor can help out.)

Destination

We would like to spend "April in Paris!" Our dates are very flexible, and we'd like to stay two weeks to a month.

In addition, we would like to go to Edinburgh, Scotland in August for the Fringe Festival.
