Large new home in a small area of new homes, but in a rural area near mountains for hiking or driving--Blue Ridge Parkway and Appalachien Trail and near a medium-size city for shopping, culture, festivals. Within 4 hour drive to Washington, DC.
One old, gentle cat needs to be fed, but neighbors will feed him if you are gone overnight.

Neighborhood

Fantastic views of the Blue Ridge mountains---many hiking trails.
The area is very rural, with farms, but also some new modern houses.

About Us

We are a retired professional couple. We have lived in Germany and traveled around Europe. Our hobbies include amateur radio, travel, history, classical music, bicycling, auto racing spectators, German soccer fans.

Destination

France in July 2008, Berlin/Germany in August, September 2008.also Vienna and Budapest. Open.Dates are flexible. Non-simultaneous possible. Hospitality exchange.House-sitting possible.
