Description

Lots of windows and skylights, view of hills, good size yards with trees and grass, very child-friendly and comfortable. This is a home of creativity with music (incl grand piano) and art. Quiet master bedroom with 4-poster queen-size bed, view of hills, sofa and tv/dvd and master bath. Double-size second bedroom with bunk bed and double-size futon. This room can be divided into 2 with the installed curtain. Living room looks out onto back yard and hills. Kitchen/dining area with large table. Front room has grand piano. We have 2 people-loving cats.

Neighborhood

Fairly quiet neighborhood (during the school year we have the sound of children in the schoolyard behind us), pleasant for relaxing walks or hikes in the hills on either side of us. Neighbors are friendly. Biking is very popular here. Easy access to the cities (San Francisco, Berkeley), the beach, the redwood forest, great hiking, and wine country. Weather is great, too, usually, warm during the day and cools off at night.

About Us

We're a creative family, involved in theatre, music, dance mostly. Dad is a classical composer and piano tuner and carpenter. Mom is professional actress, director, writer and educator as well as involved in network marketing of nutritional cleansing products. We have a 12-yr-old daughter at home, who is a ballet (and other) dancer, singer, actress, inventor and goes to the local middle school currently. We'll be traveling with our older daughters as well: one will be 24 in 2008 and is a college graduate and working as an auditor. Our second oldest will be finishing her last year of college at NYU in theatre. The eldest will be bringing her fiance as well, who is a civil engineer. The best way to describe us as a family is super creative.

Destination

Dates of our trip are not set yet, but could be mid-June as an earliest start and 24 Aug and a latest end. We would like to spend a minimum of a week in England. We were thinking of the southwest of England, but love Kent as well, and will probably want to get into London for at least a day or two. We're quite flexible at this point. As for Ireland, we definitely want to see Dublin, but also some countryside.
