Our home is an average house in an average neighborhood. We are not fancy, but we do have all the things you should need for a great vacation. 1800 Sq ft, 3 BR home, 52 in. TV in living room, TV's in the BR's, 3 computors in the house with cable internet. We do not smoke and it isn't allowed in our home, we do have a cat & dog so if you have allergies our home won't work for you. We are an easy 10-15 minute drive to downtown, the airport, or the highway going North or South. There are great lakes in this area and we have a couple kayaks we would let you use also. They are older, but safe and a lot of fun. They are not white water or set up for the ocean, just the calm lakes. I have a 1999 Ford Explorer, seats 5, holds 2 kayaks easily. You certainly are more than welcome to use my vehicle, it isn't fancy at all, but runs great, and I would like to use yours! To the North of Anchorage is Talkeetna, Denali Park and Fairbanks. To the South we have Kenai and Homer. Anchorage is a beautiful spot in the summertime for outdoor adventure. I would love to swap homes with someone close to Disney World. Hotel rooms in Alaska are priced high compared to a lot of places. An average small hotel room in June or July is about $150 night. I would like to find a home for myself, my 3 kids & grandson to stay while we visit the Amusement Parks in the Orlando area for 2-4 weeks. We visited Orlando several years ago for 10 days and that was not enough, this time I would like to be able to go down to the Keys for a couple of days and see a little more. End of May or June 2008 is kind of what we are shooting for. We would like a comfortable home with a comfortable vehicle. We don't need new, just clean and in good order. I have to admit we would love to have a pool to use but could possibly get by without one. Sorry, you are not going to find a home in Alaska with a pool, there are very few.
