Neighborhood

Our home is in a country setting in a mixed neighbourhood. Our immediate neighbours are goat herders, famous actors, farmers, surfers and professionals. Our neighbours are Mexican, Canadian, French, American, Australian, Italian, Austrian and German.
It is a five minute walk to the beach and a five minute drive to the Zicatela strip of restaurants, shops and bars.
Puerto Escondido is a beautiful town with a vibrant market and many good restaurants.
Zicatela beach and the famous Mexpipe attract surfers and boogie-boarders from all over the world. The X-Games are held in Puerto in July.
There is a Sportfishing tournament held in November as well as the Festival of Dance.
The BluesFest takes place in January and February.
Puerto Escondido does not have any fancy shopping malls, casinos or golf courses.
A holiday in Puerto Escondido will suit anyone with a sense of adventure, with a laid-back attitude and an open mind.

About Us

My husband and I are Canadians. I am a retired teacher and my husband is retired from his design and construction company,
Our family discovered Puerto Escondido 15 years ago when our three children were teenagers. It was love at first sight for all of us. We bought a parcel of land at Punta Zicatela with dreams of building a retirement home in the future. It took us four years to build our home but our dream became a reality in 2007.

We have two homes in Canada - one in Ottawa, Ontario and a summer home on an island at Blue Sea Lake, Quebec. We speak english, some french and some spanish.

We enjoy travelling and have been to many parts of the world and have travelled extensively throughout Mexico.

Destination

We would like to visit France or Italy in the Spring or Fall of 2008.

We would like to vistit other parts of Mexico during the winter. We would enjoy exploring San Miguel Allende, Patzcuaro, Morelia, Guadalajara, Oaxaca, Mexico City, Chiapas etc.

We are retired professionals, non smokers. We would take excellent care of your property. .
