Maison

A clean, tastefully furnished, spacious sunny apt. located in central Rome. A large (very large!) one bedroom: large, comfortable and sunny master bedroom + sunny living room (w/couch) + eat-in kitchen, on a first floor with elevator, wi-fi Internet, plasma tv, air cond., cable tv/national and international channels. The apt. faces the river Tiber (ancient Rome's river); it's a 10 minute Tram or Bus ride to the historical center and all main roman monuments (the San Peter's Cathedral, the Sistin Chapel, the Colosseo, and more) and a 10 minute tram or bus ride to our Rome's most central square "Piazza del Popolo"; it is also only 5 minutes (walking distance) from the "Auditorium" (concerts, bookstore, restaurant, etc.). Just around the block: theater, stores, restaurants, pizza restaurants, public transportation (taxis, buses and tram).

Both simultaneous or non-simultaneous exchanges are ok. - my apt. will be available most periods throughout the year.

Quartier

The city center with all the main historical sites (the San Peter's Cathedral, the Sistin Chapel, the Colosseo, and more), as well as main shopping areas, it is all a 10 minute drive from my apt. Public transportation (Bus or "Tram") are a 5/10 minute walk from my door!
Just around the block: banks, groceries, markets, newstands, teather.
Also, our Rome's most central square "Piazza del Popolo" is a 10 minute tram (or bus) ride to it. The "Auditorium" (concerts, bookstore, restaurant, etc.: http://www.auditorium.com) is also only 5 minutes -walking distance, from my place. Just around the block: theater, stores, restaurants, pizza restaurants.

Due to my job I split my life mainly between Rome, Italy and New York City, U.S.A. I am a writer, work mainly as ghostwriter (www.yourgost.eu) and I am the ediror-in-chief of a monthly cultural bi-lingual magazine related to our Italian Government, with main office in New York City and Rome, as well as branches/delegations worldwide.
So New York is my preferred destination in order to arrange our home exchange, but I will be happy to consider also other destinations for my future travels. In New York I need housing some 3 to 4 weeks every two months (exchanges of a minimum of 10 days/2 weeks).

Destination

I need a one bedroom apt., one week minimum to 2 months, short or longer stays.

It DOESN'T NEED TO BE A SIMULTANEOUS EXCHANGE - my apt. is available most of the time during the year.
