Neighborhood

The house is a private home located in a traditional Mexican neighbourhood.
The neighbourhood is VERY friendly and safe. Most everyone on our street owns their own home. Family oriented with plenty of street parties and opportunities to meet the locals. It is a mix of residential and various businesses. There are bus services at either ends of the street. A 24 hr. taxi station is a 2 min. walk from the house. Multiple services and shops in the area such as laundry (wash, dry & fold service), 4 internets , 3 hospitals, Video/DVD rentals, Sign writers, 24 hour Pharmacy, Doctor and clinic, Several street taco stands, clothing boutiques, 4 corner stores, daycare centre, even a small tortilla factory most of this on our street. Donkeys and goats are often seen walking along the cobbled streets in this area. Lots of roosters too crowing night and day! As I said, it's a "typical" Mexican neighbourhood. This is the REAL PV. It is not a tourist area, therefore you do not pay tourist prices. A local Saturday ¨Tianguis¨ market is set up at the end of the street from early morning until dusk. Not a tourist market but you will be very welcome to explore their wares. It sells everything from live chickens to clothing to CD's to food, fresh fruit/vegetables, to household items. There is virtually every kind of store, shop and service within a very short walking distance from the house.
The nearest beach is a short 15 min. walk from your door.
Puerto Vallarta is one of Mexico's most popular tourist destinations in Mexico. It is an honest-to-goodness authentic Mexican town as well as a world-class resort, so visitors here enjoy a wider range of experiences than your typical vacation destination offers.
The weather is as good as it gets.
The climate in the high season - October-May - is 27° to 30° C.
Low season - June - Oct. is Vallarta's rainy season.
Daytime temperatures range from 28 C - 33 C.
The weather in Puerto Vallarta boasts 342 days of sunshine each
year.

About Us

We have been living in beautiful Puerto Vallarta, Mexico for over 9 years.
I am originally from the Bristol/Bath area of England and my husband is Canadian. We have lived in several countries around the world.
We are a retired couple who own the property and rent out this apartment at special times of the year.
I am a writer and artist who uses this apartment for my work.
We love to travel and are open to where to go.
We have travelled all over the world but our daughter is now living in London, so we would prefer to go there and visit her.
