Description

A comfortable, modern family home situated in a quiet, friendly neighborhood situated on the edgeof the national park in an area known as the Gateway to Dovedale and is an ideal location for a family looking to explore the Peak District National park.

Our home is a modern (10 years old) 2-story and has 5 bedrooms 1st room has a kingsized bed an an on-suite, the 2rd room a queen sized bed and on-suit, 2 further single rooms, and the 5th bedroom used as a playroom but has a single foldaway bed. This room has a playstation 2, a Wii set up on separate screens . Both the main bedroom and the playroom have their own Sky boxes with 22in TV screen. Downstairs there is a 3rd Sky box and we have the full movie and childrens TV package.

Down stairs there is a large kitchen, a comfortable family room with a TV and a second living room with an extensive CD collection which is used as a quiet room for adults. There is also a utility room with washer drier. We have a small backgarden area with a BBQ.

We do a lot of cycling in the area so there are 2 adult, 1 teenage and 1 child bike available in our garage. Additional bikes can be rented on the trail itself.

We also have 2 friendly cats, but if this is a problem we can arrange to have them put in a kennel.

Neighborhood

Out house is situated in a quiet family oriented neighbhood on a cul-du-sac, and next to the cycle path that leads to the Tissington trail. We are a 10 minute walk into Ashbourne itself, or 3 minutes by car. On our street there are 6 houses and a number of children between the ages of 1 and 12

We are 10 minutes from Ilam, Dovedale, Tissington and Osmaston and manyother small rural villages with lovely country walks. We are about 30 minutes from Chatwsorth House and the Bakewell area of the Peak District. We are lucky to have a large selection of pubs within easy driving distance that have both great food and good beer. In Ashbourne itself there is a section of small resturants, coffee houses, and indian and chinese takeaways. There is also a sainsburys less than 5 minutes away for all shopping needs,

Equally accessable to us is the Staffordshire moorland area and Alton Towers is 8 miles away.

We have a selection of walking books, focusing on circular walks and walks for children that will be left for our guests.

We are a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 boys age 13 and 10) looking for a house or apartment close to the sea. We would be interested in anywhere in the UK or Ireland as long as it is within 15 minutes of the ocean and preferably with a sandy beach.
