In the midst of it all, but away from the crowds, is Birch Haven. Ideally situated in downtown Canmore, this luxury loft is 3 minutes from the Banff National Park gates and just over an hour from Calgary International Airport.

Our downtown Canmore location means that everything is at your doorstep -- trendy restaurants, supermarkets, health food, sports and video stores, even doctor's offices and ATMs.

Birch Haven is blessed with easy access to 4 national parks. Those marked with * are, in fact, honored as UNESCO World Heritage sites:

24 km / 15 miles to Banff townsite (approx 15 mins)
80 km / 50 miles to Lake Louise and the start of the Icefields Parkway (approx 45 minutes)
60 km / 35 miles to Kootenay National Park* entrance (approx 45 mins)
80 km / 50 miles to Yoho National Park* entrance (approx 1hr 15 mins)
200 km / 125 miles to Jasper National Park* entrance (approx 2 hrs)

About Us

We are a family of considerate, experienced home exchangers comprising of 2 adult professionals, and a daughter of high school age. We are seasoned globe-trotters and have a voracious appetite for learning about other cultures, as well as a love of the performing arts!

We are non-smokers, and will treat your home with the loving care that we treat our own.

As this is our second home, a NON-SIMULTANEOUS EXCHANGE IS POSSIBLE!

WHEN WE PREFER VISITS: We usually prefer that home exchangers visit our place in the spring or fall, as our loft is rented out at other times. Winter (except Xmas/New Year) may be also be a possibility. If you can travel at short notice (1-2 weeks), summer may also be possible.

WHEN WE PREFER TO TRAVEL: Due to our daughter's school schedule, our preferred travel period is from end May to early Aug, or around major US school holidays.
