Architect designed house on two floors with big terraces (40 m2) and lots of privacy. Total area: 200 m2. ADSL/WiFi (incl. service at home), phone, fax, cable tv (80 channels), DVD and stereo. Big split-level living room, open kitchen, terraces, gas BBQ, master bedroom is a suite on top floor with attached bathroom & covered terrace

Kitchen with fridge, combi microwave/oven, toaster, gas stove and all crockery and cutlery, such as plates, cups, pans, etc.

English speaking, friendly, cook and house keeping (daily, except sunday). Car with driver can also be organized. Dutch references available upon request.

Child facilities: baby bed, daycare around the corner, baby bath, baby shops, good pediatrician, etc.

Neighborhood

Bangalore:
Pleasant (big) city, centrally located and easy to explore whole South India. Kerala, Goa, Tamil Nadu, Andra Pradesh, Pondicherry and Karnataka are all just hours away. See www.incredibleindia.org. Good shopping, modern pub culture and relaxed lifestyle (restaurants, bars). Best climate in India, 900 metres above sea level. “Garden City”. Good medical services, bookshops, coffee bars, live music and theatre.

The area:
Posh area: green with lots of tall trees, quiet but with all facilities closeby like supermarkets, shops, public transport, taxi’s and autorikshaws, parks and playgrounds for children. Child friendly neighbourhood: excellent English daycare (Montessori) close by ($100 per month). Safe. Friendly neighbours. Close to main airport (15 min) with direct flights to Europe, budget airlines can bring you everywhere in India within 2-3 hrs (see www.makemytrip.com)

About Us

We are an Indo-Dutch couple, Carin and Pratap, with 2.5year old daughter Nina. We are both university graduates and management consultants. Since 2000, we live and work in both Bangalore and Amsterdam (6 months in each place). So we live in two countries and enjoy both. Our hobbies: traveling, live music, reading and nature trips. Our Bangalore house is very pleasant and we spend a lot of time here. However, we also work in Amsterdam (visiting clients) and we travel by car in Europe every summer.

We have lived in Italy before and would like to visit our friends there. We have always had people staying at our Amsterdam flat when we're in India for 6 months per year, so we know what it's all about:-)

The other advantage for you would be that our Bangalore place is equipped for a “European” lifestyle (coffee machine, bread maker, BBQ, etc). It is in the heart of India and will give you an opportunity to experience India very pleasantly, including learning yoga, meditation, etc. The house is unique in terms of style, location and facilities.

Destination

We'd like to travel with our daughter & my parents by car in the Alps and around the Adriatic sea for a two weeks next summer (June to August 2008). We're open to non-simultaneous exchange and dates are flexible though we'd prefer to finalize them by April 2008.

We'd like nice house with at least 2 bedrooms and preferably with internet + TV. Spacious, atleast 100 sq meters. Kid-friendly. Terrace or garden required. Car access and not too far from highway and a city/town.
