Large kitchen 12 x 15 ft with washing machine, dishwasher, fridge freezer and microwave oven. This opens via glass French doors into lounge as above making it convenient to attend to children watching t.v. etc. Separate sunny Dining Room 17ft x 16ft. Master bedroom 15 x 14 ft with double bed overlooking garden. The second single bedroom faces front garden and is 12 x 9 ft with Computer on Broadband installed and built in cupboard for cleaning materials. Understairs cupboard for hoover etc. Three telephone points on this floor. Access to side lean-to for bikes, dustbins etc. through to front garden. Upstairs is third twin-bedroom with two windows. To the rear is a box room with roof window and off that is loft space for suitcases storage etc.

Neighborhood

Broadstairs is a small town much loved by visiting families because of its many very safe clean beaches, the grassy walks in pure sea fresh air along its cliffs into neighbouring Ramsgate and Kingsgate, the numerous eating places from the simple to the sophisticated in the Cafes and Cliff top Restaurants allowing uninterrupted views of the sea in all its glittering glory. Plenty of small local shops to browse in, the big Westwood Cross Shopping Centre, supermarkets within a mile or so and plentiful local buses every 5 mins from the top of our road three minutes walk away to take you to the beach although it only takes seven minutes to walk to the nearest one. Dickens is much celebrated locally, both in a special Museum in the town and at our Dickens Festival held every year. Each August is our famous Folk Festival with every kind of entertainment for both adults and children especially. You can learn to Salsa, or Belly Dance, go to a Ceilidh or watch top-notch entertainment of your choice and every Pub has special gigs on night and day for the whole week. Its super. There is plenty of parking along the whole cliff-top, big tree-filled Parks nearby, country walks within a few miles, near to Canterbury with its Cathedral, its woods, Shops and Museums, and at Birchington (5 miles away) the Powell-Cotton Museum which houses the Family's massive collection of African animals, all stuffed and mounted in realistic settings , plus their beautiful old house full of oriental, Indian and African artefacts and a superb Restaurant and parkland to explore. A lovely place to live and visit. For golfers, North Foreland is nearby and St. Augustines about 5 miles away.

About Us

There are two in our family who live here. Myself (June)and husband (Terry) both now retired. Terry was Manager of Abbeyfield Sheltered Housing and I worked for Kent County Council as a Specialist Support Worker for the mentally ill. We have two sons. Both visit with our two grandchildren aged two and a half and seven years.

Our interests are walking locally, running a local Silver Song Club, cycling, reading, writing poetry and meeting friends for outings. We have been involved in putting on local Opera events and also running a Silver Screen Club in a Ramsgate Cinema for the elderly to attend in the mornings, meeting their friends and socialising over tea, coffee and croissants once a month.

Destination

We need to exchange simultaneously. Dates are flexible. We would like to exchange with GLASGOW in late Summer/early Autumn. Weather here is usually kind then.
