Neighborhood

Safe walking, quiet neighbourhood. Helpful friendly neighbours. Shopping centre with supermarket, butchery, hairdresser and chemist very handy. On main feeder road to central city. Close to bus stop. Palmerston North airport includes international to Australia.

Palmerston North is University City and centre of rich agricultural area. Good base to explore lower North Island from. 2 hours to Wellington, Mount Ruepehu, Wairarapa, Hastings/Napier. 31/2 hours to Rotorua.

About Us

Tom and Gay are a mature couple. Tom retired from Justice and Gay is still working part time as Administrator for Multiple Sclerosis.
Between them they have six grown children and 4 grand children.
Hobbies include travelling, woodwork, croquet, cycling and indoor bowls.
We prefer to get to know the locals when travelling which is why we like home exchanges. Our last holiday was to Fiji where we stayed in an Indian compound with a Hindu family. We are just packing for a month in South Africa where we have family.
Tom is Dutch by birth and speaks several languages incl basic French and German. Gay was born in Fiji but has lived most of her life in New Zealand.

Destination

Would prefer a smaller centre where we could get to know the locals. Prefer spring/summer when we could enjoy cycling, walking.
Open to any offers.
