Description

Our home is situated about 25km from Lille, the city selected as a europien capital. The house is renovated in modern style. We have japanease style salon, salle a manger, ikea kitchen, 1 large sleeping room, 2nd room with 2 extra matras and 3rd room for the study room,cave, velanda and the garden, garage. You'll find High-speed internet connection and Cable TV.
Outside terrace will allow you to take some breakfast, meals and tea time when the weather is nice.

At Lille, there are many restaurants , good museums, charming french café , cinéma, shopping center ......
As well as Europe's biggest flea market at September.
We are also cloth to the large forest to promenade, picnic, bird watching, activity for kids, biking ( We'll let our bikes to you ) and horse riding, golf , fishing, swimming ... About 80km to the French & Belgique sea side visit.
2 hours to Paris, 30 min to Belgium, 2hours to Holland by car. Also nice to do day trip to beautiful Belgium city like Gent or Brugge ( 1h 30 ), Antwarpen,Tornai ( 30 min ).
London- Lille is connected by Eurostar (1h 30 ) or by ship from Dunkerque - Calais.

Neighborhood

Situated in calm area near by the little forest to promnade. Every morning the bread shop will pass in front of the house to sell fresh bread. There is a little cinéma. Some English and canadian family living in the area.

About Us

We are French and Japanese couple in our early 30th.
We speak English, French, Japanese and my boyfriend is wishing to improve his German.
We like to discover new cultures, to learn languages and we both love art. So we found this way of traveling would be wonderful to experience new culture and meet new people.
We had wonderful experience by home exchange and would like to find further exchange.

We are both open minded and reliable. And happy to help you over your stay for the language and some informations about our area.

Destination

We are looking for the exchange at 2008 and 2009.
( spring, summer, autumn or for the long weekend with people living not so far from here )

Will be glad to have contact with somebody in Austraria, Denmark, Finland and Sweden.
And also somebody from England, Scotland, Holland etc as we are not so far to do short period exchange. But all propositions are welcome :-)
