Description

I am a single male, well presented in my appearance and tidy in my housekeeping! I live on my own and have no children or pets. I own a ground floor flat (within a small block of 6) which is in good decorative order with gas central heating, double glazing, fitted kitchen, bath & shower. It is a 2 bedroom property but actually the second bedroom is used as my study... however, in addition to the double bed in the master bedroom there is a sofa bed in the lounge if required and a fold up bed that can be put in the study/bedroom 2. The flat is spacious - lounge approx 15ft sq, bed1 approx 12ft sq, and bed2 about 10ftx8ft... and needless to say, fully furnished.

Neighborhood

The flat is located in Slough which is quite an industrialised town... however, I am on the outskirts of, in a residential area with shops about 15mins walk away. Slough geographically is just outside the Greater London / M25 area but being to the West of London it is easy to be in the 'West End" of the city (where all the Theatres, Museums, Hyde Park, Knightsbridge etc are) in about 55 mins by rail or car (straight in on the M4 motorway/freeway)... obviously, NOT in the rush hour though! My place is 15mins drive (max) to get to Windsor Castle to the south and about half an hour drive to get to Hampton Court Palace and the Royal Botanical Gardens at Kew. Nearby to those are Richmond upon Thames and Kingston upon Thames - good for shopping and a great riverside walk along the Thames - and where I was raised, so I'm biased (sorry!). These places are best accessable by car as opposed to public transport. Heathrow airport is exactly midway between Slough and central London (about 25 mins by car) and has cost me only £20/23 to get there by minicab. There is also an airport bus service that runs right along the main road here.

Recently, I have visited a long time friend (of about 15yrs) in Bermuda, who is now working out there and enjoying it very much. The time went too quickly whilst I spent 10 days tearing around seeing this and that, and I would like to get out there again just to "be" for a while... long term OR short term, I don't mind... just would be good to visit again without all the rush and tear of trying so see as much as possible in too little time!
