Description

Our home is located less than two blocks from the beautiful beaches of Laguna Beach - famous for skim boarding, surfing and diving. It has a 1200 square foot main house with one bedroom (queen size bed) and one bathroom, separated from a studio cottage by a tropical garden patio. The entire house is wi-fi enabled. The studio sleeps 5 - a bunk bed with double size bed below, single above and single trundle bed, and a fold out futon double bed sofa, and a bathroom. We have a small ocean view from the main house, but a spectacular 180 degree ocean view from the roof deck - the sunsets are phenomenal!

Neighborhood

The neighborhood is quiet and private, yet easy walking distance to world class restaurants (Thai, Italian, Jamaican, Viennese, Mexican), a short drive to golf courses, sailing harbor, and the famous Laguna Beach Art Colony. Disneyland and Legoland are 30 minutes away, Sea World is one hour to the south, mountains with many ski resorts are about one hour to the east - something for everyone!

We are a block away from a hospital; the city bus drives right by our corner and takes visitors from our house to many stops in town, including the nearby grocery stores.

About Us

We are a self-employed couple whose 4 kids are all grown with their own families. We work from home, so we have the flexibility to travel anytime, anywhere. No pets, no smoking, and we arrange for the garden to be cared for by a gardener. We can trade a Toyota Corolla sedan which gets very good mileage for travelling around freeway-crazy Southern California. We love to travel - we have children and grandchildren in Denmark (where we house trade for a month each summer), Oregon, San Francisco, and Los Angeles - so we're on the go alot! Carl is a body and bodyboard surfer, so Hawaii is always our favorite getaway destination.

Destination

At this time, we are looking at exchanges in Waikiki Beach or Hanalei Bay, Kauai for early January, 2008 (one week) and Paris or the south of France for summer 2008 (one month)
