Description

The one bedroom apartment has been decorated in restful and light beige tones. Oriental carpets cover the natural oak floors and the ceilings are lined with restored original mouldings. Walls are accented with original etchings, drawings, and much of the furniture and accessories are antique. An antique Indonesian armoire houses a stereo/cd with numerous jazz and classical CD's.
The kitchen is well equipped with an oven and glass cooktop.a fridge, micro, all small appliances and stylish glass and dishware.
The bedroom has a queen bed, teak comode and high quality linens. Above a corner of the living area is a sleeping loft that can be accessed by a removeable ladder. This also has a queen mattress.
The small bathroom has a shower but no bathtub. The towels are fluffy and robes are provided. Also provided are blow dryer, curling iron, straightening iron, iron and ironing boards, and oscillating fans are available in summer months.

Neighborhood

This location cannot be beat. The apartment is on Rue de Lille at the cross street Rue de Beaune situated on a quiet street of antique shops and art galleries in Paris' stylish and elegant St. Germain des Pres area in the 7th arrondisement. It is just a few minutes walk from the Musee d'Orsay and just a block from the Pont Royal Bridge which crosses the Seine to the Louvre and the Jardin des Tuileries.All necessary conveniences are just minutes from the door, patisseries for your morning croissant, groceries,pharmacies, banking services, etc. All of Paris is rapidly accessible by three virtually equidistant metro stations: Rue du Bac, Musee d'Orsay,and St. Germain des Pres.

About Us

We are a professional couple who live in France. My husband is French and I am American and we would like to visit family in Chelsea, NYC. Dom has only seen NYC on television and we often talk of visiting, especially during the holidays. We are both lovers of the city lifestyle although we presently live in a 13th century bastide village in SW France near to where Dom has had his accounting and business consulting office for 27 years. We have three holiday properties for you to choose from in Paris, Montreal, or our village of Lauzerte. The photos here are of our apartment in Paris but contact us if you would like to see the other houses.

Destination

We need accomodations in NYC, preferably Chesea or West Village on Dec 17, 2007 for 4 nights but all locations in Manhattan are a possibility. Our dates are not flexible but we can exchange our 3 properties at any time. They are in Paris, Montreal, and SW France close to Toulouse. This is a non-simultaneous exchange and your dates can be flexible. Please contact us if any of these locations interest you.
