Neighborhood

Our neighborhood is very urban and thriving...Our neighbors are our friends and we host parties frequently. Our area is called Lowertown-Ottawa, just off the bustling and night-life businesses and bars/restaurants in the market area. Comfortable and quiet as we are just off of the market... It is comprised of a diverse age: all housing, condos and apartments with retirement residence along with career minded thirty somethings.

Ottawa host the world's longest outdoor skating rink...It is on the canal that you can bike, run or walk along-approximately 2-5 miles long. Ottawa nightlife has something for everyone. The Casino du Lac-Leamy has gambling, dinner and shows. If you’re looking for young and edgy in the music scene, try Zaphod Beeblebrox in the ByWard Market or Barrymore’s Music Hall on Bank Street. Or you might venture out to The Blacksheep Inn in nearby Wakefield, Québec, a self-described “juke joint divebar cabaret.” If opera is what you’re after, our local opera company, Opera Lyra, has a regular round of performances.

As Canada’s capital, we have national institutions such as the National Arts Centre that showcase the best in performing arts from around the country. And we have a vibrant local theatre scene—in both French and English. Ottawa boasts a superb collection of museums, both national and local. The Canadian Museum of Contemporary Photography’s collection includes 160,000 photographic works. There are ongoing exhibits and talks at Library and Archives Canada. You can explore the history of Canada at the Canadian Museum of Civilization, or Ottawa’s rowdy, lumberjack past at the Bytown Museum. Cross-country skiing and other winter activities Gatineau Park November 15, 2006 - March 15, 2007
weather permitting Enjoy 200 kilometres of groomed cross-country ski trails, snowshoeing, and overnight camping in a winter wilderness oasis just 15 minutes from downtown Ottawa.

About Us

It is only my husband and I that live here: I am a Sommelier(huge wine fridge in dining room) and he is a IT Consultant. We are very active and love to travel and drink great wine and food. A bit of foodies ourselves; we thrive on gourmet restaurants and dine out three times a week. We do not have any pets so no allergies to avoid. Johnathan plays hockey three to four times a week(hockey is huge in Canada)and I practice my yoga each day. We are mid-thirties couple with no children or pets, love to dance, drink, eat and be merry. Johnathan speaks both French and English and I (Susan)am now learning French.

Destination

We are preferring the Lisbon, Portugal area or Madrid, or Sevilla Spain...We are also open to suggestions...
