we are 2 women friends, with our 2 ado (15 years old), and we would love to be able to exchange our apt against yours in NYC, dates: from the 26th of oct to the 6th of Nov 2007.
our apt in Paris is in Rue Milhouse, in the 2nd Ar, it is very charming, 2 bed rooms apt. very bright, and in a good taste. a big living room that includes a piano, a fire place (poÃle), an American style kitchen & a dinning area, 3 very large French windows looking over a narrow old charming street, in a very old neighbourhood , the apt. is near by the famous pedestrians streets - the rue Montorgueil: many shops, restaurants, theatres, (all transportations available in walking distance: metro, trains, RER, etc):
in the apt. an acces wifi internet, TV, DVD, and other electronics that may need, including music, books etc....
It is located 5 min. walk away from 2 lovely parks: Palais Royal et Tuileries...20 min walk from Montmartre or the Luxembourg gardens, the Marais, etc…
PS. we have a cute cat; if you like to take care of her, we can take care of yours...if not she will be hosted in friends house...

Rue Montorgueil Neighborhood History:
* Rue Montorgueil's name translates literally to "Mount Pride" and was named after the hilly area on which the street was developed.
* Historic houses decorated with elaborate ironwork can be found at #17, #23, and #25, Rue Montorgueil. Many of the buildings on the street also feature painted facades.
* The area around Rue Mauconseil housed many historic theater troops, including 16th- century playwright Jean Racine's.
* Streets like Rue Dussoubs and Rue Saint-Sauveur date to the 11th century.
About Us
I am an artist (fine art artists graduated from NYC U in 1984) and a founder of an association titled mémoire de l'Avenir, my friend is working for an NGO in Paris "Planet Finance",
we are both about 50 years old, and our trip is a gift for of our young adolescents turning 15 years old and their first year in high school. we wish to have our children familiar with this city we love very much.
We both love and do art ( catherine was in the theatre world before giving all her time to planet finance), I ofcourse do my art, give conferences, etc., and we both are interested in social & human issues: often listen to music...etc.

Destination
Our children are in vacation during this period, that why we must stay with in the the dates i mentionned above, they both wished to go to NYC only, and that why we organized this trip.
