Must love history and nature! This is an historic, pet-friendly and green property!

Built as a guest house from materials taken from an 18th century sailing ship, the Somerset, this comfortable retreat property offers two floors, (wood and carpeting) a completely renovated kitchen, bath, great room, breakfast room, cozy 1st floor bedroom and 2nd floor loft (lots of space for kids). Look out from your front window to view an English formal garden and watch the sun set.

Neighborhood

Numerous gardens surround the wooded 4 acre, very private property. Sit out on the back deck to see the woods and streams that run below. A cherry tree stands where a Civil War Battery stood and the trains running below the cliff, remind you of a long-lost era. Flowers, frogs and wildlife are everywhere! As you walk out the front door you see 15,000 acres of parkland. We have a small vineyard and orchard and make wine.

About Us

My husband and myself love to travel. Most importantly may require accommodations in Amsterdam for his knee surgery. We speak very little foreign languages, however, can pick them up easily when we have traveled. I own my own business, www.coachcompass.com, and he is a psychologist.
