Maison

Our home is a large (200sqm)well furnished villa with 5 bedrooms split on two floors . Downstairs you will find the large dining/kitchen area 3 kids bedrooms (Boy 9,girl 6 and toddler 2 ), in the verandah there is the kids Tv room with the glorious views over the valley and the sea. Upstairs there is a large lounge , another verandah with fitness equipments and settees for chilling out , the large parents bedroom and a spare room , bathroom with tub. Our home was built in 1998 and has most of the modern comfort, Plasma TV/DVD combo, internet by satellite too(too far from the phone exchange) .Games for children between 1 through 8, adults bicycles (VTT),kids bike.An above ground pool of 7x3 meters with lovely uninterrupted views to the sea.We are facing south east and have the most wonderful sunrises from June to late August for the early risers :). Quartier

At 350 meters altitude(10 minutes drive from the main town)in a dead end street with no through traffic.No neighbours at the front,a writers summer residence at the back(very quiet)We love our home for its tranquillity,wonderful views and get away from it all feel,while still only 10 minutes drive down to the town center.Our neighborood is pretty mutlticultural with different nationalities,retirees,families and holiday homes.We have hiking trails starting from our front door that lead to the Med or the hills around us.Barcelona(Spain) is at 160 kms distance allowing you to enjoy daytrips with ease.As well as the Spanish Costa Brava beaches all within 40 minutes drive away.Our region "Le Roussillon gets 300 days of sunshine per year and has a lot to offer the holidaymaker.Third largest wine producing region in the country with Cave visits available.A lot of history and wonderful architecture for you to enjoy.Long sandy beaches with lovely scenic coastal villages.The proximity of truly beautiful wilderness area,skiing at 2 hrs.Our little town of 4500 has everything to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable,Casino,supermarkets,good local restaurants,a small cinema,bakers,delicatessens,a wonderful spa,tennis courts,all within a 5 minutes drive.

We are a Franco-British couple that has recently returned to live in France, after a long spell in the UK.We have three well behaved children(most of the times) born in 2002,2005 and 2009,they are well travelled and are adaptable to new surroundings and locales.Nina works as an air cabin crew and I(Sebastien) work in the transport industry.We love nature,hiking ,swimming,running,scubadive(warm water only) on occasion,good books,good food and to have fun as a family.Our household is bilingual French and English and so are the books!We love to travel and experience new things and we always try to live like the natives on holidays,so home exchanging seems to be the ideal way for us to travel now as our children need a bit more home comfort.Feel free to email us if our listing is of any interest to you and your family.We would love to get to know you better by email or telephone before the exchange takes place.We have done our first double exchange in the summer of 2007 and have done a further 5 exchanges, thoroughly enjoyed the experience and would love to find a new destinations for us to discover.

Destination

We are quite open minded about possible destinations as yet,but would love an exchange home with a family set up in mind .Also European shortbreaks and France week ends ,contact us if you would like more informations about our home and our region.

We would love to visit the Alsatian christmas markets for Christmas 2011 too.
Already arranged a swap to Paris for easter 2012 and a swap to Slovakia for the summer 2012.
