Description

The log cabin is in Floyd County, Virginia, a mountain region. The entrance to the property is .7 miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway (between mile markers 174 and 175). There are 20 acres of meadows and woods to enjoy and a small stream. There's a great front porch from which to enjoy the 2-3 mile view. The cabin's interior is modern and comfortable, with about 1,000 square feet of living space on 2 floors and a loft. There's electric heat and a wood burning stove. It has a small kitchen (2 refrigerators), washer/dryer and 2 sleeping areas. There's also a sleeper sofa.

Neighborhood

The area is isolated and rural, but close to a country store and convenience stores. Floyd, Virginia, where many artists live and work is about 15 minutes away. Roanoke, Virginia is about 40 minutes. On the Blue Ridge Parkway, there are stunning views, hiking trails and recreation. There is wilderness nearby. The cabin is not for those looking for lots of activities - it's very peaceful and relaxing.
