Readers' Retreat and Country House - usually catering for weekend visits by book groups - is available in March 2008 for an international exchange.
The house is large - 6 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, large dining room, kitchen, open fireplace and separate lounge surrounded by extensive garden. The entire property is 40 acres with beautiful rural views from the wide terrace.
This house would suit a family and friends interested in experiencing more than Australia's traditional tourist sites on their international holiday.

Neighborhood

Bush walks, golfing, regional city art galleries and tourist attractions are all within a comfortable driving distance.
Readers' Retreat is less than 15 minutes' drive from Daylesford, the region's premier spa resort. The town has good restaurants and cafes, a variety of shopping choices and a weekly Sunday market.
Daylesford is a 1 hour drive from Melbourne's international airport.
This is a peaceful place not too far from all the attractions of Melbourne.

About Us

I am a professional woman, English speaking, living and working in Melbourne. I am offering my country property so I can travel with friends wanting to visit their son studying in Lyon.
I'm a keen reader and gardener.

Destination

Preference is for a town/village in southern France within 1-2 hours of Lyon.
The Australian house could be available for a longer period.
