Our home is located in a prestigious suburb of Cork, we have a spacious 5 bedroom family home; master bedroom with queen bed and ensuite bathroom, study/guest bedroom with convertible sofabed for 2; 3rd bedroom with double bed; 4th & 5th bedrooms are both single rooms. . . can sleep 8 people. Further accommodation for 2 extra people in Sofabed in the den) The house has 2 1/2 bathrooms (master bedroom is ensuite with full bath) , sitting-room, formal dining-room, family-room/den, a large fully equipped kitchen/dining room, conservatory/sun room, utility room and separate laundry room. As well as music systems (3) including a large collection of classical and "popular" music , there are 3 tv sets, dvd and video players. There is also an XBox for computer game enthusiasts. We also have a new piano, guitar and a professional drums set for the musically inclined.

Our home also has full broadband (dsl high speed),wifi, internet access and pc for your use. A south facing balcony upstairs overlooks the private front garden. There is also a large private back garden with patio area, garden furniture, gas BBQ, patio heater etc.

We are also happy to discuss a car exchange - 7 seater MPV or a small automatic Nissan runaround.

Neighborhood

Our home is very convenient for great walks, beaches, scenic countryside or for touring west Cork, Kerry and the Lakes of Killarney.. We are within easy reach of many championship golf courses in the area such as Fota & Old Head of Kinsale. Cork is a grea base for exploring the south and west of Ireland. West Cork and Kerry are approximately 1 hour west and Galway is 3.5 hours north-west of Cork. In the opposite direction, Waterford is 1.5 hours and Wexford is less than 2 hours from Cork.
Cork was the European City of Culture 2005. It is the 'gourmet' capital of Ireland with many fine restaurants. The victorian "English Market" in the city centre is an epicurian's delight selling Ireland's finest food.

Cork is also a paradise for golfers, sailing enthusiasts and walkers with every amenity on its doorstep.

Our home is 15 to 20 minutes away from beaches and wonderful scenery. There are many beautiful places to see near our home - the Beautiful Lee Valley, Kinsale, Cobh, the Famous Blarney Castle where legend says if you kiss the blarney stone you will have the gift of eloquent speech forever! Within one hour's drive from our home are the wonderful mountains, villages and towns of West Cork Below is a link for tourism in Cork and Kerry.

About Us

Professional couple (Academic & University Manager), experienced home exchangers. Three children (2 adult children 26 & 25 and teenage daughter of 17). We love travelling especially home exchanging and have exchanged all over Europe, USA and Canada.
