Description

Ours is a spacious home in the town of Maitland, 160km (2 hrs drive) N of Sydney's CBD.

We are centrally located in the lower Hunter Valley - within one easy hour's drive of the Pokolbin vineyards, Barrington Top mountains, Newcastle city and surfing beaches, Port Stephens and Lake Macquarie. Maitland is known as "the hub of the Hunter".

Our home has 4 large bedrooms (3 with queen size beds), 3 bathrooms (incl. spa bath in main ens.), study, a large kitchen, lounge/dining, family, rumpus, laundry, double garage. It has ducted A/C, ADSL2, BBQ.

Neighborhood

Our home is in a quiet suburban street with a reserve at rear and farm views. We are just over 1 km from a railway station, and close to an outdoor heated swimming pool, golf course, and small shopping village - and just a few kilometres from historic Morpeth.

About Us

We are a family of four: two high school teachers of English with two responsible sons, aged 18 and 14.

We are planning a holiday to Europe (Italy, France [Paris] and Greece), Ireland and the United Kingdom from late November 2008 to late January 2009, taking in as many historical and cultural sites as we can.

We would like to arrange a number of exchanges which can be either simultaneous, or non-simultaneous anytime after January 09.

Destination

We have booked our flights and will be starting in Italy, where we intend to spend around two weeks. From there we intend to make our way to the UK via Athens and Paris, and perhaps Ireland as well.

We have a large family car available (5 seats) as an option for those who may be intrerested.
