Description

The apartment has the benefit of lovely weather all the year round and has panoramic views across the lake and golf course. Windows stretch the full width of the apartment. The beautifully kept 18 hole golf course is available to guests during their stay.
The living area is large and open plan with white tiled floor and comfortable furniture. The appliances include an icemaker/refrigerator, air conditioning, microwave, dishwasher, washer dryer, range. There is one double bedroom with king size bed and two bathrooms. There is a barbecue with tables and chairs in the shade of the palm trees beside the pool.

Neighborhood

The Country Club is located in Fort Myers on the South West coast of Florida, just north of Naples. Sanibel Island, renowned for its beautiful shells is just a twenty minute drive away. On Sanibel you will find world famous shelling, the Ding Darling Wildlife Refuge with superb bird watching opportunities, cycle paths that weave throughout the island, fishing, a small historical museum/village, restaurants, beautiful shops to explore, a shell museum, canoeing and kayaking on peaceful backwater bays and rivers, plus more – in a lovely tropical setting.

As well as many wonderful restaurants and very nice shopping areas, Fort Myers offers many cultural areas of interest too.

• Thomas Edison/Henry Ford winter home complex….a fascinating look at two 20th century industrialists, their inventions, gardens and homes

• Cultural events at nearby Performing Arts centre which includes symphonies and plays. We had the pleasure of hearing Dionne Warwick sing here on our last visit.

• Deep sea fishing and casino boats

• Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary…a boardwalk winds through ancient cypress trees where you see alligators, wood storks and tree frogs

About Us

We are a professional couple in our forties Deborah is a part time writer, and loves creative sewing and reading. Tim loves gardening. We both speak French. We have family in Eastbourne in Sussex and are always looking for exchanges nearby to see them. We are also interested in longer term exchanges in central london.
