Modern, high-quality home in upscale residential neighborhood within easy drive to any part of the island of Oahu. Fantastic view of entire south shore of Oahu including Diamond Head and Pearl Harbor.

Home is situation at 500 ft above sea level on a quiet cul-de-sac. Drive to downtown Honolulu, Waikiki Beach and other great beaches on Oahu is 30-40 minutes or less.

Home is 1800 sq. ft. on one level with air conditioning, all modern appliances and a large master suite with jacuzza tub, walk-in double shower and the same view as the living area. Second bedroom has a queen-size bed. Third bedroom has a double trundle bed suitable for children or young adults. Hall bathroom serves bedrooms 2 & 3 and doubles as a visitor's bathroom.

Kitchen has all modern conveniences including: electric stove top and grill, dishwasher, large refrigerator, oven, garbage disposal, instant hot water dispenser. Washer and dryer are located off the kitchen.

High speed internet and local telephone are available.

Neighborhood

Newtown Estates is a 30-yr old upscale residential neighborhood with wide streets, a recreation center that includes an exercise room, outdoor pool and basketball courts. Access to the rec center is limited to residents and guests. City bus is available 3/4 miles down the hill (we often drive down the hill, park on the street and take the bus into Honolulu).

The expressway serving Honolulu and the rest of Oahu is easily accessible from Newtown Estates.

Two major grocery stores are located in shopping plazas at the bottom of the hill --about 2 miles. A major shopping center, PearlRidge is located 3 miles away.

About Us

My wife and I have been married 47 years.

I am a retired Air Force Colonel with a background in telecommunications and computers. My interests include amateur radio, sailing (off-shore crusing and racing) and computers. I still volunteer with First Presbyterian Church of Honolulu as an Information Technology consultant. I speak adequate, but simple German.

My wife is a homemaker who dotes on our five grandchildren and likes to play bridge, sing in the choir and travel.

Destination

We would prefer a home outside a major city with good transportation. A car swap is high desireable.
